There are many things in life we pay too much for. You know it. I know it. But of all the things in life you pay too much for, coverage from your Ohio auto insurance company shouldn't be on the list! Pelosi scrambles for health care votes

Two California Democrats, moderates Dennis Cardoza and Jim Costa from the San Joaquin Valley, remain uncommitted.

"We are right on the brink," Pelosi said. "We have a historic opportunity for us to again provide quality health care for all Americans. It is something that many of us have worked our whole political lifetimes on."

Pelosi issued a notice to members to be ready to convene at 9 a.m. Saturday to pass a 10-year, $1.05 trillion health care overhaul. President Obama is expected to visit the House today to rally support for his signature domestic policy, as memories of the historic collapse of former President Bill Clinton's health care effort in 1994 and the subsequent GOP takeover of Congress loomed large.

When asked if she had the 218-vote House majority needed to pass the bill, Pelosi responded, "We will."

As she scrambled for votes, thousands of conservative "tea party" activists, called to action by talk-show hosts and fired up by House Republican leaders, protested at the Capitol on the spot where Pelosi a week ago rolled out her legislation. They blasted "Pelosi-care" as a threat to freedom, capitalism and the Constitution.
